He anounced in an interview with Mat Lower, and Al Sharpton, that he thinks he needs an "african american perspective" on the show, and he will get one.

Will that make Al sharpton happy?

-----------------
Al Sharpton says he can forgive, but that doesn't mean the person should not be punished.

Who decides the punishment for saying something in bad taste? Al Sharpton?

how was this slur blatantly racial?

I remember using that slur in high school, and I used it to describe a few white girls. Does that make me racist against white girls?

You should have been suspended from school too. And if you say the same thing on your job, you should be fired too. It is against Federal law. I'm sure you go through sensitivity training which is mandated by the Federal government.

It may make Sharpton happy to have a black person on the show, but personally I don't want that because it is just hyprocricy.
Imus is racist, he's open about it and I feel better knowing who he is. It's the ones that pretend that scare me more.

Apparently Al Sharpton feels that he has the right to punish Imus for a stupid remark. It is, however okay for Al Sharpton to repeat the same remark, over and over again. I do not think Al Sharpton has the right or the position to either condemn or forgive anyone and he should, quite frankly, get over it.

Only if they put Al Sharpton on the show will he be happy. And Imus would never be able to get a word in because Al's mouth never stops.

It ptobably has to do with scores. Im specific the comparable volume of Blacks, Whites, Latinos and so one auditions for those kinda exhibits. The manufacturers initiate pickin gout who they want and in the direction of the tip understand they dont have someone of a distinctive race so as that they randomly p.c.. one from the checklist of persons. the single token person is in all probability there to purpose to tug in the black visitors, comparable if it have been a token latin contestant or abode customer. Come on it fairly is united statesa. minorities in no way count till this is balloting time.

Al is applying for the job. Seriously, what black person with any pride or dignity would actually work for Imus after his blatant racial slur?
