You need to follow your heart. If you are that passionate about football, I think you should continue to play football. Just because you play football, doesn't mean that you will get involved with one of your team mates. I know you like this guy but you really need to follow your heart. If this guy really likes you than he will respect your wishes to play football. He will be supportive.
I hope my answer helps you out!! I wish you luck.
P.S. I think it is cool that a female plays football :)

Yes, quit..A girl has never received a scholarship for playing football so you would be better off spending time in some other extra curricular activity. I wouldn't quit for a guy, but work on school participate in something that might get you somewhere in the next level. I'm not saying girls shouldn't play football, but there is no hope after high school.

Well, I mean, if you're doing football as a hobby, I guess I'd consider it if you TRULY like the person.
But, say, you were trying to play football and stuff in college and perhaps beyond, I'd honestly stick with it. Not to knock this person I don't know, but I'm sure you'll not be alone forever.
Basically, if football is a hobby, think about it, I guess. But if you're looking to go furthur than high school, I'd stick with it.
...or I guess you could just try to talk to then so that you can be dating and you still play....

From a coach -
No.
You don't quit after you've invested so much time, energy, and heart.
Team sports are not just a social involvement; it's an outlet for energy and a sense of affiliation.
If you were one of my daughters
- and I have twin girls that want to play football -
I would tell you to find a guy that supports what you love to do.
Don't waste your time with someone that forces you to surrender your passions and your persuits: this time it's football...what will it be next?
Why wait to find out?
Stick to football.
Find a man that would never want you to change.
Find a guy that'll be your biggest fan.

Don't quit football. Loose the guy. There are many guys out there that would love to have a woman that plays football. I know I would

Take it from an old man. You are to young to stop doing something you enjoy just to sedate someone Else's ego. Have as much fun as you can (with in the limits of the law) while you are still young. You will grow up and boyfriends will change. If it was meant to be it will be. As for now tell him he needs to get over it. If he bolts it was better to have learned now rather than half way threw the season when you can't get back on the team.

Guys are stupid. They are afraid of what they can't control. He doesn't want you to play because you might outshine him. A real man would play right beside you. If he doesn't want to date someone who is on the team with him, maybe he should try out for cheerleading. Then you could date the head cheerleader. See how he likes that.
But no, never give up on something you like. Not for a person, not for anything. If he can't get over the fact that you play, find someone else who will scream and yell and dance on the stands proclaiming to all the world "That's my girl on the field and she's going to kick your ***."

You really want to give up something you like for a guy? A guy who is already making demands of you and setting conditions? Find someone who doesn't do this, is proud of you that you play football (good for you, by the way) and supports you for all this. This first doofus isn't worth your time.

Tell the coach you don't love the game enough to put in the time and effort it takes to be a football player. The coach will understand and he won't keep you on the team because it's hat competetive.

play football, you're young. i highly doubt that relationship would lead to marriage or anything. live life without regrets and live your dream. i regret quiting football as i wanted more money, dont make the same mistake i made. you only have so many days to play football, try to play ever minute you can while you have the chance.
