I rececently went on a camping trip; it was so strange: After two days, the birds started flying lower and the frogs croaked more. Then it rained, and afterwards the birds and frogs were back to normal. Why is this?

They know that weather changing long before we sometimes do. Watch the ants they build up the dirt to their entrances, Black cockatoos feed up, cats sleep on beds or look for bolt holes, they know because they can feel the lows in weather coming. Sea birds have known to travel inland a fair way, always a good indicator for foul weather about to hit coastal areas. Most times they are better at predicting the weather than the forecasters.
