Yeah, the bombers and the liberals are getting together to blow people up just so Yahoo News can tell everyone how many Americans were killed.

This is still a democracy, and that means that our country should be ruled by WE THE PEOPLE. In order to help fule, we need to be informed. To be informed, we need to know how effective, or ineffective, our current actions are.
This is part of the important information that we need to have in order to intelligently elect officials who will make the right decisions.
News media are an important part of this, since the world is large enough that we cannot witness for ourselves everything that is going on.

I am fairly conservative (note not neo-conservative) as well, but I appreciate being informed of American deaths simply because each of those lives are signifigant and deserve at least mention. Unlike Fox News or MSNBC yahoo seems fairly impartial to me.

I think it is very important that the death toll be displayed, while we are at home someone's loved one is dying. I think this war should be more in our faces until we get our troops from over there.
