I did trade my accord for a crv at Herb Chambers honda in Boston. they told me they just got the CRV and the bank has the title. It wont be at the dealer for 5-7 days. i did put a deposite and they told me to drive my car until they get the title. Is this normal or is something fishy about it? How long does it take usually for the bank to send the title? less than a week?... please advise.

I paying the difference cash. so the CRV will be paid in full. The dealership told me that all they have now is the bank word ( the title should be there within a couple of days).

That is very normal, the bank still had the title from the previous owner. So dont worry about, you will have your new CRV in no time. Good luck with new car!!

If you financed the CRV, you will only be getting a copy of the title. The bank will mail the original to you once the vehicle is paid in full.

Typically, you don't even need the copy to register the vehicle, there will be a copy of the application for title in the paperwork the dealer gave you and that will normally suffice.

If the CRV is paid in full, this is still completely normal. Depending on when and where the dealership got the vehicle, it can take days for them to get the paperwork, and then even more days for them to get your new title work to the state to title it in your name. Perfectly normal, nothing to worry about.

Sounds like a legitamite dealership. Some banks or leinholders will hold the titles until the vehicle is paid for. What you'll get is a bill of sale with a leinholder's name on it. You'll still be able to register it, etc..I suggest that you call the bank and check their policies.

you will not be able to sell the motor vehicle to someone devoid of the identify. this implies you're able to bypass on your Secretary of State's place of work and acquire the present identify or on account that Honda holds identify till you pay off the motor vehicle sell the motor vehicle returned to Honda. Honda provides you with the differance between what you owe (10K) and what the motor vehicle is worth (14 ok). this implies you will acquire a examine for about 4k. This will pay off the motor vehicle, gets you a effective volume of money and gets rid of the motor vehicle as a debit on your credit status.

Its normal...in Nevada it took them over 4 months to send me the title after I paid off the car. My situation was a bit extreme but it can take quite a long time sometimes.

Nothing fishy about it. If they got the car from an auto auction, even take longer to get the title (a month or two).

Keep your sales receipt handy that is all you need till your new registration comes through, You may not receive a title if you financed it There can be quite a delay, but that's normal
