Could it be that the U.S. doesn't torture and the the terrorists (gasp!) LIE?

No way...I don't believe it. Freedom fighters (not terrorists you should know better shame on you) all practice the religion of peace and love. They are just trying to be free and this oppressive occupier (the evil USA) barges in and steals them away from baking cakes, planting flowers and walking old people across the street. Then the evil USA let dogs bark at them and put underwear on their heads. There's no way these beautiful people living thousands of years in peace & harmony would ever lie.

Everyone knows that terrorist are much more trustworthy than the American government. They would never lie. They are just decent people trying to fight for what they believe in. The American government has not right to detain them simply because they want to destroy the US.

Unfortunatly, some forms of torture are allowed by law.

So a defendant can't claim torture....if torture like waterboarding is legal.
