I am assuming that "nappy-headed" r efers to the tightly curled characteristic of the natural african-American hair. And of course the word "Ho'" seems to have become over the past few years a slang term for "whore" only it doesn't mean prostitute any more but rather a slightly derogatory term that gets slung around as a semi-insult to any woman, or women that the "slinger" doesn't have much respect for.
I don't believe for one moment that Don Imus used the expression out of genuine dislike of these girls, or that he intended it as an insult. He just picked up on something that, for goodness sakes, those black rappers use all over the place in their so called "music". However, it was a pretty good boo-boo to have used it, and I'll bet the moment it came out of his mouth he knew he'd ignited a firestorm.
I think he regrets it, is genuinely sorry he let it slip out, and I personally think he's been standing there tolerating the rocks being thrown at him like a man. It only makes me all the more amazed, however, that these horribly and often obscenely worded rap "songs" frequently contain material that is ten times more insulting and derogatory towards women, and they are making millions out of doing it, with never a peep of protest from anybody.

I might desire to have checked approximately different posts first. besides, I do think of he replace into incorrect for what he suggested and can desire to have had an FCC wonderful to pass at the same time along with his 2 week suspension. the certainty that he made a remark approximately nappy hair replace into offensive to the black women on the group. however the "ho" remark replace into offensive to everybody women black, white or otherwise on that group. yet as quickly as we choose a communication tutor host to be giving a annoying time approximately what he suggested. Then purchasers might desire to offer up helping misogynistic rap music that objectifies and belittles all women.

just a silly collection of words that some rapper put together and a foolish radio personality repeated. no big deal, let it go, this is how racial BS gets started. people need to take it for what it is, tasteless, harmless words.

It basically means women with kinky hair who are whores.
Ironically, if a black person had said it, noses would not have been bent out of shape. Double standard
