OK. I have to admit that I hate to clean, but considering it has to be done, what is the best and most efficient way to clean a one bedroom apartment? I don't have the funds to hire someone, so any advice/list to keep me organized and on track would be appreciated

Start at the back of the apartment, work towards the front. Dust (Yeah old feature duster still works fine) first, high to low, top of dressers, etc., then vacuum. Only use one plate, cup, fork and spoon; don't get a new one, wash them. Too lazy, get paper plates. Too lazy to get paper plates, eat over the sink, and rinse (joking). Bathroom, clean it, spray furniture polish on the wall tiles, glass shower doors, and around the bathtub (but NOT on the bottom of the tub, you will slip), this stops soap scum from building up, less cleaning. Use the furniture polish on the mirrors, stops them from fogging. To clean pictures on the wall, use furniture polish, even on the glass. Furniture polish repels the dust you on the glass. To make the bathroom smell good all the time, pour bleach into the toilet brush holder, the brush is usually nasty, and kills germs. Don't use a laundry hamper, use the washing machine, when full turn it on. To clean the kitchen and bathroom floors, sweep the dirt onto the carpet, then vacuum the carpet, no dust pan needed. To clean crud off the stove, dishes, pots and pans, use baking soda with dish washing liquid (same as soft scrub). Burnt on stuff on pots and pans, put them in a trash bag with one cup of amonia, knot bag, let sit over night, the junk will come off eaisly. On kitchen tiles, clean with rubbing alcohol (about $1 at the drug store) to get the grease off, then use the furniture polish to stop grease build up. Chow

I can sympathize: I don't really like to clean either.

But the easiest way to clean is to attend to a chore right when it needs to be done, instead of waiting for them to pile up and become scary.

Wash dishes immediately after you eat: That way the food won't have a chance to hard-dry. If you have enough laundry to make a load, start it: The washing machine can mind itself for a while. Right about then is a good time to sweep, vacuum, and mop. Keep a spray bottle of diluted lysol in the kitchen, and another in the bathroom. That way you can spray and wipe down when you need to. Take your dirty laundry immediately to the laundry hamper instead of piling it on the floor.

Make it a habit. Pretty soon you won't even notice the cleaning that is being done: You'll only see that your apartment doesn't get dirty any more.

Always take care of dirty dishes right away. Throw trash away. Make it a habit to take the trash out daily. Dust and vacuum at the very least once a week. Wash bed sheets once a week or once every two weeks. Give the toilet, tub, and sinks a cleaning once a week.

i have been there people think that it should be easy becease it is small but it is harder so my advise is to not leave pop can's and stuff like that laying around and to vacuum often and to try to do some dusting becease it will get dusty very fast.good luck
