While I don't advocate calling anyone names or making racist remarks of ANY kind, I think Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson look for ANYTHING to use that will further separate the races. Anyone can make a mistake. As the saying goes, "To be unwilling to forgive is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die." Enough is ENOUGH!

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are the worst kind of racist bigots. Any time anything untoward happens to an African-American or an African-American doesn't get what he/she wants, they immediately cry racism. It's a knee-jerk reaction. They're not part of the solution; they're part of the problem. Instead of promoting cooperation, understanding, and unity between our respective racial groups, they're promoting distrust, hatred, and prejudice. They both need to step down and make room for more progressive African-American leaders.
Now let's talk about Don Imus: Those remarks WERE out of line. Referring to African-Americans as nappy-headed may have been forgiveable, but calling them ho's on top of it all? Come on. Here's an idea: Instead of making such a huge fuss and trying to get Imus fired, why not line up the Rutgers women's basketball team and let them take turns giving Imus a good hard slap across the face?

WWWOOO slow down cowgirl. You imply that prejudice still has a place in 2007. Bad enough Imus feel asleep at the wheel but just hearing your voice, yikes. My head is not in the sand yet it's hard to hear in any format. Happy trails.
*yo if you know protocol only a person of color sez N word to another and the list goes on... that's another problem altogether.
If Imus if fired I will then be very sad.

Well if Don Imus called my sister a nappy-headed Ho ...(in front of me of course) I would kick his old butt and force him to apologize...what he said was rude and pointed at a specific group of girls....If he was using the words "nappy-headed Hos" but not targeting anyone, then I wouldnt care...but it's how he used them that was insulting.
I don't think it was the worst thing ever...but if he used that in reference to someone I cared for...he'd be sorry.
