A lot of people are behind him, to include Dick Cheney. Of course, Dick has his hand up his back just like a puppet. There are also several major corporations behind him enjoying record profits at the expense of the average working American. And if we would have elected Kerry we would be getting the same thing. You don't elect the president, Special Interest do. They contribute millions of dollars to candidates who will help them. Parties don't matter anymore, nor do the ideals are candidates go on about so much. This is why we need serious campaign reform.

Variety of characters, but you can't help but see some influences and motivators from trying to impress dad (Bush I)on a wierd Dr. Phil episode gone wrong level... Then of course, there is Texas Oil, Saudi Oil, DOD Industry Ties, Skull and Bones Society, and the voices he thinks he hears from God....those immediately come to mind. Others would be mere speculation.

Carl Rove; Big Oil; Big Drug Companies; Big business in general, as long as Bush allows them to skirt the rules or doesn't impose fairer labor and pollution laws; the religious right wing, who want to keep us in the stone ages; and the IDIOTS who voted for him.
