Im glad you asked.....I have an american 2005 Jeep Liberty, with not quite 30,000 miles....these are the following problems:
Leather steering wheel wore out
three recalls in two years
squeaky brakes
windows woble as they go up and down,
seats stain very easily
rear hatch gets stuck in the closed position
I used to work for a big three car company, and i can tell you that if it were not for the japanese, the american cars would be worse garbage than they are.
I can wait to drive this pile of **** into the junkyard and get a honda.

Many Japanese cars are currently being made right here in the US of A. And many American cars (like my Dodge) are NOT made in the USA but rather Mexico and Canada.

I will try to remain calm. I will try to remain calm. I WILL TRY TO REMAIN CALM!!! I am thinking none of you people live in Michigan. I am thinking that none of you people care about the US economy. I am thinking that Japanese propaganda may have colored your views on US made cars. I am thinking you people don't realize that this down turn in economy that IS directly related to the auto industry WILL hit your state sooner or later. I am thinking NEXT time you look REAL hard and give a US car a chance! Buy American, your livelihood may depend on it.

Depends if you want a slow death or a quick death.
I mean, Japanese cars burn less fuel, so the oil reserves will last longer, that's the slow death for the environment, and us.
