Yes, because when you drink through a straw you're using suction, not gravity. I mean, think about it: When you drink through a straw, the water flows up! Turning upside down might actually make it easier, since the water would be flowing down part of the way (I'm guessing in an arc from the right-side-up glass to your upside-down mouth), and so it wouldn't have to fight gravity as hard.

No. Some (if not most) of the water will go down to your nose because of gravity, and if you don't stop sucking the water you would soon drown out of water.
It IS possible scientifically speaking, but in practical terms it isn't.

Besides using pressure to get the water to your mouth, the muscles in the esophagus are what pushes anything to the stomach and not gravity

I would say Yes. Your throat has involuntary muscles, muscles you don't control. They contract to force food and water down to your stomach. These muscles are also responsible for when you vomit. So if you stood on your head these muscles would be able to force food up to your stomach just like it can force it up when you're sick....
