He has a history of insulting people who don't deserve insulting.

And to the Republicans who say no. And you wonder why you've becoming the Angry White Southerner Party (AWSP). Imus is a McCain supporter. McCain said nah, let him be.

NBC is going to fire Imus for this comment, he has been warned many times before and can't seem to stop doing it. Now he will have to be underpaid by FOX or Rush Limbaugh and friends if he wants to work. He could also get a job with Pat Robinson, I suppose and repent his sins, so he can spread hate speech over the air waves for the 700Club. NBC has made it clear they will follow the FCC rules.

Nah - Imus has put up with enough grief now. Let him get back on the air, so I can continue to ignore him.

And the 2 people howling the most for Imus' head are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. In my opinion, these two do nothing more than try to find parades to jump in front of and try to lead. If Imus has made them mad, he's probably worth keeping around.

And Imus likes John McCain? Maybe there's something worth listening to on his show after all....

I am not a fan of Don Imus. However I have been watching him the past few days to get a grip on what everyone is talking(or screaming about). What he said is horrible, no doubt. However, sitting that aside, he has apologized profusely. He does alot of good with sick kids. He raised a ton of money for the veterans getting the hospital in San Antonio. That still does not excuse him for his comment. I do feel he goes over board alot of times.

And while I am on this subject of his comment, what about all the horrible rap music that demean Africian American women and also police men. Where is the outrage over this???

No he should not, he has something most people forget about called FREEDOM OF SPEECH! If people do not like what he said, simple, do not listen. I hate Imus, never listen to him but he has the right to say as he chooses just like you have the right to not listen. Why dont we kick Carlos Mencia off the air for all the racist jokes he makes? Dave Chappelle? Chris Rock? They all make racial jokes, why are they allowed to get away with it? Anyone who wants Imus kicked off the air for a simple joke is Un-American, they are trying to take away someones first amendment rights. I once heard a quote that said "I do not defend what he said but I will defend to the death his right to say it." SUPPORT FREEDOM OF SPEECH!

I've been listening to Imus for years, long before he was on MSNBC. The first time I heard the comments my reaction was along the lines of "same old Imus". He's offended everyone over the years.

the P.C. police are out. In our country, only certain people can say offensive thing's and get a free pass. Jackson and sharpton, have both said thing's much worse than Imus. And the media, just looks the other way.

Don Imus is a shock jock who only real mistake so far was to go on Al Sharpton's radio show where the Reverend sucker punched him. It was embarrassing to listen to.

Now there is blood in the water and the sharks are in a feeding frenzy.

Imus is a liberal and not the first to spout off racist comments recently.

McCain is a RINO. republican in name only. Arizona is not a southern state. its a part of the southwest.

Let's also ban all rap music then. Nothing more violent and hateful than that is there? How about banning Jesse Jackson from speaking ever again...his comments about HYMIE town didn't get the attention this is getting. Imus makes fun of everyone, himself most of all.

Yes, I think it is insulting, racist and sexist. But Imus has the right to say whatever he wants. Thankfully, I also have the right not to listen to him.
