So Imus gets a two week vacation for talking like a racist pig on the radio?

If his employers factored in the misogyny of his comments (implying any and all women are "ho's"), would he have gotten an extension and gained a four week vacation instead?

I think his punishment was too light, too. I've thought Imus was an idiot for years. I used to listen to his show in NYC in the 1980's, and he wasn't even funny then. There were about ten other "shock jocks" whose shows were better, including Mark Simone and Howard Stern. Too bad Howard's "Imus Funeral" wasn't real, thought Imus sure looks like a mummified corpse! I think he should fired, period. Racist, sexist content is not clever, funny or an example of "free speech." It's just glorifying stupidity.

Have you ever listened to Imus? He messes with everyone, funny, he gets all the press and people like Howard Stern do it all the time. no one bats an eye.

I really don't know. But I will say that his comments were very RACIST and he is WRONG for having said it. He IS entitled to HIS OWN OPINION, but He should NOT go on the radio or TV and say what he said.

you know, alot of tv and radio commentators spew hate and such each and every day. they do it in a clever cliche or metaphorical pretense. keep watching and listening to see what i mean about all of this. some of these hate mongers do not belong to a civilized part of culture whatsoever. they are slime.
