The best way to get wax (e.g. candle wax) out of a carpet or other fabric is to put a sheet of absorbent paper (blotting paper works well) over the wax and then apply a hot iron to the paper. The wax will melt and be absorbed by the paper, and you should get almost all the wax out. Be careful not to burn your carpet or clothes though!

Candle drippings:
For spilled wax on carpet, use a brown paper bag as a blotter and run a hot iron over it, which will absorb the wax.
Good Luck !

I use a newspaper and a hot iron. I put the newspaper on the carpet and iron it. I repeat this action until the newspaper absorbs all the wax. It works the same when it comes to clothing.

Get a brown paper bag (without writing) and place it over the wax. With your iron on low heat, move it in a circular motion.
The bag will absorb the wax. so move it often.
works like a charm!

You can blow dry the area, then blot the wax off with paper towels, blotting paper, etc. This way you don't make the mistake of accidentally dropping the iron and scorching the carpet.
