I am setting up Swaprock.com.au which will allow people to swap these items that they no longer use. It is not up yet, but not far away.
Just list the items you dont use, send them to someone when they ask for them, then you get credit to request stuff you want from others!!
I think it could be very popular, especially with uni people for books, and gamers would love it too. Dvd and Cd collectors would get into it I reckon also, but I NEED INPUT FROM PEOPLE.
If you would like more info drop me an email at swaprock@yahoo.com.au I am starting beta testing in April 07 and need some people to give it a try.

This is a good idea because it would have a wider scope than a second hand bookstore could. Would different items be credited at different rates? I would check it out, and if I found something that I wanted i would definatly give it a try. what about a buy-in?

That might be interesting to set up and establish. However, sometimes local used book stores offer the same basic program.
