Yes, you will get the booking reference number (PNR - Passenger Name Record) upon paying the air ticket.

You have the booking reference when you book your flight even if you haven't paid for the air ticket as yet. But even with the booking reference, you cannot collect your air ticket if it is unpaid.

Example:
L6L64K/AH ***** ***** *** 27NOV

2. ** *** 864 K 06FEB DXBCGK HK1 0220 1350

The booking reference # is the 1st 6 alphanumeric character.
