This is going to be a hard decision because I was married to a military career man and the children and I spent the last 9 years of his career with him overseas and he was stationed in Turkey, Greece and Germany. I took advantage of that and traveled to Austria, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Italy. I have also been to Mexico and Canada. I hope I haven't forgotten any other country.

So many of these were wonderful and each had their own wonders.

Greece was one of the best due to the beaches, Italy due to the old cultures, Turkey due to the biblical sites, Canada for its beauty, Austria and Switzerland for their beauty, castles, cleanliness, same with Belgium and Germany and France for Paris. Spain for the running of the bulls and the beaches. Turkey for the shopping and the friendly people.

I don't know which to pick. I think if I was going to pick one to live in, and the war was not going on in the Middle East, it might surprise you, but I'd probably want to go back and live in Turkey. If not there, then Greece.

I was just thinking of Italy, with Rome and the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Venice, and all those wonderful places that we visited. There is so much to see and do there but I think after awhile the newness would eventually wear off.

I'll stick with my original pick because Turkish citizens are the friendliest I've run across and we lived there over 3 years. There are biblical sites all over. The cost of living is very low and the beaches are beautiful.

Greece has beautiful beaches, also and nice ruins to visit, and a lot of islands to visit but the cost of living is a little higher than Turkey.

Japan.

I love the total contrast between new technology and fashion and all kinds of trends (like hip hop) and the very old, ingrained culture there.

Last time I was in Japan, I saw an old woman in full kimono and she pulled a tiny mobile phone out of her kimono sleeve. Love it.

The people are so friendly, food is delicious, presentation is fantastic, the scenery is amazing, it's big bustling cities with lights and noise and there are amazing old temples right next to discos. Amazing country.

I've never been out of the U.S. From what I've seen of other countries, I'd like to visit Australia and New Zealand. Australia seems to be a bit like Texas (where I live) and New Zealand just looks gorgeous (LOTR movies and Whale Rider movie).

I live in the USA and my favorite other country is Panama. That's where I met my wife when I was in the Army and I loved it there. I haven't been back since 1989 and I'm hoping to go back maybe next year.
