is Jesus Christ a myth?. But what do we understand by the term myth? Falsehood, fable, and myth, are usually considered synonymous terms. But a falsehood, a fable, and a myth, while they may all be fictions and equally untrue, are not the same. A falsehood is the expression of an untruth intended to deceive. A fable is an avowed or implied fiction usually intended to instruct or entertain. A myth is a falsehood, a fable, or an erroneous opinion, which eventually becomes an established belief. While a falsehood and a fable are intentional and immediate expressions of fiction, a myth is, in most cases, an unconscious and gradual development of one.

I have always considered all religions to be myths and fairy tales for adults. I see no reason for me to think of Christianity any differently.

For something a little more in depth, though, I must say, 'The Jesus Mysteries:
Was the Original Jesus A Pagan God?' by Timothy Freke & Peter Gandy was well researched. I enjoyed reading it; you might find it interesting, as well.

Christ most likely did exist as an actual person, did preach a new form of Judaism that eventually became Christianity but that his miracles, resurrection etc may have been "borrowed" from other religions in order to stand out among the numerous other beliefs of the period while being also relatively familiar.

Jesus of Nazareth definitely lived. Whether He was Christ the Son of God or not depends on you.
