I would say no to that. The reason behind that is a simple one NTL give BB on a cable, that means u have got freadom. BB speed would slow down in the peak hours but it aint that bad where as SKY are on a ASDL cable, when they say they are giving 16mb its not possible. Emmmm coz SKY works on BT infrastructure what they do is they get a mac code from whoever is providing the BB service on the tele line and and they put the MAC code on their system from that point onwards the line is owned by sky.
And one more thing ASDL works on local loop thing
local loop is a loop from the exchange to your house u could be the first one on the loop or u could be the last one on the loop sooooo if ur the first one bang u would get super speeds but if ur the last one :(:(:(. Broadband service have also got contention ratios BT on a MAX service has got 20:1 (20 users on a loop). Man i was with NTL and it was wikid, then i moved to another area and there was no cable service :(. These days im with BT it aint bad but dude get a doddgy BOX and u'll get all the channels :P

Not really a good idea.... Ntl have been doing broadband for years i'm sure you can haggle a better deal than sky would offer if you told them you where thinking of moving.

Sky broadband has been reliable and very fast for me.
I have heard mixed reviews of their service but I am finding it to be very good. If you are a sky customer, £15 for unlimited broadband up to 8 MB is pretty reasonable.

Would be best to check coverage in your area though as some packages aren't always available.

Sky broadband is provided through UK Online, who are absolutely awful. I am with UK Online (until our contract expires, when I shall be transferring to a more reliable company) and I have to say that if you like constantly having to reconnect your router and holding 30 minutes at a time on the phone, then UKO are for you.

Dont do it! i've been regretting the day i switched, i thought tiscali was bad but compared to sky its much better.

Sky decides on its own accord when you can get internet access, the worst case i've had is no internet access for two weeks and i had to call them everyday to find out what was wrong as they dont do 'call back'. Then i was only compensated a measly £2.00.

Stick with ntl, sky is just a disaster!

OK but customer service not very good but if you have the phone , TV & broadband package it does save money as cheaper then BT & Virgin aswell plus the modem they send allows you to have wireless internet - good luck and happy easter
