Most HR departments makes it mandatory to give at least 24hr notice for schedule work days. If your schedule is not the same weekly, your boss might be a loafer. With out proper notice he can not hold you responsible.. Notify your GM about this issue because it is not professional at all.

You can't call in and ask? Better late than a no show. Most everyone has a bad boss, why should you be any different?

I think you should go to work either ways. What if you don't show up, while everybody else does, and when you ask him he says 'Did i give any indication that it will be a holiday?'

Girl, I'd do the same thing!! However, be prepared for him to put that little one on YOUR shoulders if he did expect you to work on Monday.
