I have installed this but everytime i power off -on, i have to re-enter my wep key, is there anyway i can get the adapter to store the settings?
I am fairly useless at technical stuff so any answers will have to be quite basic.
I have checked with my isp and the fault appears to be with the adapter.
Thank you

Open the wireless utility that came with the card. Search for your router and create a profile using the same name as your network. Then configure the encryption from that profile before connecting. Stored details are save in the profile. The XP wireless tool often drops the key.

it may favor to o.ok. be that they gained't artwork mutually. Is the get get correct of entry to to element making use of encryption? Does the on the spot adapter even detect the get get correct of entry to to element? The broadband does no longer likely have something to do with it. If the on the spot adapter isn't determining on up the netgear ap in any appreciate, then it really is both defective or it if truth be told isn't suited matched.

Use the driver thet comes with Windows and Windows Wireless lan options to connect as opposed to the utility that comes with the card .
That will make your connection sligtly more stable - however the stability of connecition with this card is not really too great in my opinion.
