WII , XBOX 360, PS3 backwards compatible?

Question

yea can gamecube games be played on the wii? same for xbox too 360 and ps1 ps2 too ps3 ?? I doubt it for wii but the others im not sure of, im going to get the three consoles but i want too make sure if i can play my old games or not. Thanks in advance!

GC games are 100% compatible on the Wii.

PSX and PS2 games are about 80 to 90% compatible on the PS3. With updates, it's getting better, but still not 100%, and I doubt it will ever reach 100%.

For the 360, there's a little over 200 XBX titles that can be played on the 360.

If you're smart, keep your PSX, PS2, and XBX because the PS3 and 360 uses emulators for backward compatibility in some degree or another. You can sell your GC because the Wii has the GC hardware built in.

The Wii is backwards capable with every Gamecube game.The PS3 can play all PS1 and PS2 games. But the Xbox 360 is only backwards capable with only Halo and Halo 2.

All 3 consoles are backwards compatible with the previous generation of systems. They're not all 100% backwards compatible (especially the 360 and the PS3), but the percentage should be high enough to where it covers most everything you have now.

Well... I have all those consoles. They are all fun.. Except, for the Wii. The reason I don't like the Wii is because they only make like kid games and stuff. But considering he is a 7 year old, you should go for the Wii. . But if the T.V.isn't big enough, you should go for the X-box 360, because in my opinion, it is way better than PS3. every cube game works on wii, most xbox games work on 360 (with compatability updates and a hdd) and most ps1/ps2 games work on ps3
