When was this decided by their heirarchy? Why wasn't Paul Collingwood considered?

hmm thats interesting considering he was disciplined over the drinking episode aswell. would have thought collingwood would have been the ideal replacement , to be honest i didnt think flintoff was the best person for vice captain anyway. though i can see the logic of having the wicket keeper as vice captain and nixon is the most experienced of the squad

Initially Andrew Flintoff was appointed as Vice Captain of England Cricket Team for the World Cup 2007.

However he was sacked as World Cup vice-captain after a late-night drinking session in St Lucia.

I also feel that Paul Collingwood should have been made as Vice Captain as he is one of the senior player in the team..

yea y wasnt paul collingwood considered he woulda been better... plus hes hotter
