What does the piece of paper accomplish?
Can a long term relationship flourish with out it?

More and more it looks like marriage is for the elite. Or maybe for those foolish enough to give away future earnings with no real promise of a long term relationship.
I opt for the relationship and no paper.

NO, it isn't for fools. People who are foolish enough to think that they can change a person after they marry them, fools who think they are in charge and the spouse has to do whatever they say, fools who always put themselves first, fools who are selfish, fools who are immature, fools that feel they dont have to tell their spouse anything, fools who expect everything to go their way exactly how they planned...these are the people who shouldn't get married

No, I believe marriage is for two people who love each other and are ready to make a commitment to a life together as partners. I am much happier married than I was single.
