I have a large double glazed window unit in an upstairs room which has become badly misted up between the panes. This only happened in the last few weeks and it seemed to clear during the day. Now its there all the time. Is there a way that I can lcear it without replacing he whole window?

The whole window does not require changing. The black rubber seals around the glass are removed and the glazed unit can be exchanged on a one for one. Get any double glazing spec to give you quotes and measure up the new size.

Sorry, but no, sounds like the seal's gone. I've had this problem. Someone suggested a hairdryer and it dispersed only to re-appear. Replacement is the only permanent solution.

It all depends on how old your double glazing is and whether the company is still trading. The majority of good double glazing companies offer a ten year guarantee which includes regassing. Contact them.

THE SEAL HAS FAILED. FIND THE NAMEPLATE WITH MODEL AND SERIAL AND LOOK IT UP ON THE INTERNET TO FIND WARRANTY. ALSO FIND THE DEALER. IT'S PROBABLY COVERED.
