What it sounds like has nothing really to do with your bowel, but any sort of bearing down can bring forth slight spotting from your uterus or cervix if you're close to your menses (period), have a cervical polyp, etc.

An IUD or a previous procedure can cause some uterine bleeding. Sex, bowel movements or lifting something very heavy can bring about some spotting.

If your bleeding persists, or is more than just light spotting, then I would contact your care provider.

Bleeding after a D&C and hysteroscopy is quite common. I had bleeding for a bit after the procedures when I had them done in 1999 for diagnostic purposes. In the discharge papers I had gotten at the time it said that I would probably bleed for about 4 weeks after because the area was trying to heal.

But I would go ahead and call your gyn's office to check in with them and see what they think.
