Laptop networking card???

I have a belkin router for my pc desktop computer. My laptop picks it up alright. If i get a card for my laptop does it have to be a belkin or will it matter. All i am triing to do i guess is boosts the range for my laptop so i can take it outside to my shed about 40 from where the router sets. thanks for the help

If your laptop already picks up the signal, why would you need another card?

Just add a "range extender" antenna on the router end.
