I want to understand this Indian male craze for cricket.
Can you guys tell me what is it exactly that hooks you on to cricket?
How many of you watch cricket because every boy/ man is doing it (peer pressure)?
And what gets women so hooked on to cricket?

I want to know what fun can one get in watching a game? why does it become an addiction? Is it because it is considered masculine to do it?
I can understand that playing cricket is fun. But most people who watch cricket don't want to play it.
By the way I am asking this question because I am studying men's psychology, not to put down anyone.
Can someone give specific answers please?

The same reason why pretty much the whole U.S. watches the Super Bowl you idiot. It's the most popular sport in the country so of course people are going to go crazy over it. Have you ever seen tail gaters at an NFL game? Those are some of the craziest people you'll ever see. Take a look at your own culture before you judge others' culture dumb sh*t.

Some cricket is the most popular game in India many people are very much crazy about the game. That is the reason why there are large crowd to watch the cricket matches in India than any other countries.

If you were interest in watching the world cup series then you will realize as to why . Cricket is so exciting, fun & adventurous. You should see the nail biting moments in cricket.
Most of all it gives you th excitment when batsmans like, Sanath, Sachin,Seawag,Mathew, Gilcrist, Lara,Sahid Afridi etc., so many good hiters disapear the ball in to the stands & fearsom bowler like Bret Lee, Lasith Malinga, Murali, crafting the cricket ball.
Indians used to do this in great style, but unfortunately they could not do it this time,disapointing all the cricket lovers all over the world, but they will do it next time for sure.Cricket is like that.
