Without killing or removing it you cannot stop it. Chirping is what crickets do. It is doing it's job. In some asian countries they have many more crickets than we do. The kids collect them. Tie thread on some and have them as pets. They will have cricket fights also. Kids from the country will come into town with bags of them and sell them for small amounts of money to the city kids.

Unless you have a frog handy that you can let loose you'll have to listen to the chirping all night long. I had crickets when I had a pet frog and I had to put them outside to try and get away from their chirping at night.

We have them just outside our bedroom window in two large rhoadie bushes. The quickest, albeit temporary, fix is to spray hose water on the bushes for a minute or so. Sometimes it would last all night, and sometimes much less, but it was always instantaneous and at least broke the annoying cycle. Cutting the rhoadies down is not an option.

Crickets are not fond of the cold. If you can cool the room down- it might "chirp" to a stop. :)

Go to a bait store, and buy a cricket trap. Then once you catch the critter, go fishing. Bass eat them like popcorn.

Just try to pinpoint the source and make a lot of noise around that area, that should scare him off...or just burn that area to vape the SOB.

i had that happen, had one hiding under my radiator in my room. took a can of wd40 and sprayed the crap out of it, guess the oil made him not able to "chirp" anymore. results may vary.

Keep your room in a controlable temp. the temp. is what makes it cherp. Only if you want a pet. Or just spray bug spray in the crack. that will take care of it
