scorpion keeps crawling into the water dish

Try making his enclosure a bit more humid. If he is molting, then that should keep him out of the water. It's likely it's just too dry for his old skin to come off easily.

If you're worried about him hanging out in there, try replacing water with damp cotton balls or natural sponges. Scorpions can easily take moisture from these.

Scorpions, having an exoskeleton, need to molt. In reptiles, when shedding skin, a damp and humid environment is best. From your description of your scorpion's behavior, I can infer than a good misting of the cage is in order.

Information I have read about keeping a pet scorpion says that they need a humid environment. Recommendations say to spray a mist of water into the cage or enclosure daily. Scorpions can get dehydrated easily.
