It is definitely a popularity contest!!not who is nice--I could not stand high school because of things like "the prom queen"
It made my existence horrible!!

At our school the teachers pick the prom queen and king...but every school is different

The staff of the high school pick the nominees,it goes by popularity and extra curricular activities.Then the students vote on who they want to win.
