GameCube: Pokemon Colosseum, Super Smash Bros, Sims 2, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
GBA: Pokemon (Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green), Final Fantasy (1&2 bundled, 4, Tactics Advance).
Any Final Fantasy game if you are not already a fan, most of their games are really great. Most Pokemon games are addictive too if you're not already a fan.
Super smash bros melee is good fun for single or multiplayer, more of a quick fix, not the sort of game you would spend hours playing. Final Fantasy crystal chronicles allows you to hook up you GBA to the Gamecube (if you have the connection cable) for extra maps, good RPG/Adventure type game, very cute but time consuming. There are some Need for Speed games on Gamecube, i'm not a fan of racing games but NFS Underground 2 had me hooked. Im not sure if Destroy all Humans was released on Gamecube, but that is definitely a fun and extremely amusing game.
Final fantasy games released on GBA are all RPG, basically rereleased versions of the early FF games. They still have good storylines though, i would recommend 4 over the bundled 1&2 because the amount of time it takes to level up on the first 2 games is ridiculous and it gets boring if you don't have patience. Good old mario games are awesome, they are always simple and fun. Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald can be hooked up to pokemon colosseum to trade pokemon if no-one else had a GB with pokemon that wants to trade.
