Nudist resorts can be found through contacting The Naturist Society founded by an upper Midwesterner, Lee Baxandall. Another good source is the American Association of Nude Recreation which has affiliated clubs throughout the U.S.
Psst...calling them nudist colonies has the sound of something founded by Father Damien in Hawaii. Nudists are not lepers.

There are several small clubs in the midwest The highest concentrations are MN, WI, MI, & IN. There;s one in western IL and a couple in MO.

I live in Minnesota and I know of none,although ther are runored to be a couple nude beaches on the mississippi and on the st. croix ,but the exact locations I do not know, if you you want to see lots of nudity just go to apple river in sommerset wisconsin any summer weekend and you are bound to get an eyefull...
