Three days if you're a "gotta get there and only stop to pee, and eat at drive thru's" kind of person. If you want it to be a pleasant trip though where you aren't dead dog tired when you arrive, make it four at least.

Ignore all answers that cite mapquest as their source.Mapquest is not a credible source of either directions or times to and from a point. I'm a bit of a road warrior and I can drive 1000-1100 miles a day any day of the year so my times tend to be really fast But I couldn't match mapquests times to a point numbers , so i know they are bogus.
I drove Phoenix to Tampa last year in 45 hours. I racked out for 4 hours outside of El Paso and then another 4 hours around Baton Rouge . If I started in LA it would have taken another 6 hours. For a normal person add , about another 16 -20 hours onto that. Unlike most American interstates I-10 is really devoid of scenery or reasons to stop, so you just haul ashes.
. Florida is a really long state so where you start will have some a lot influence on the time to California.

Florida to Los Angeles is approximately 2500 to 2700 miles. Eating, filling up, detouring, bad traffic, detours, weather etc, you'll be lucky to average 55mph. My best guess would be 4 to 5 days with 10 to 12 hour driving days. Take the miles, divide by miles per gallon that the Lincoln gets and average cost of probably 4 dollars a gallon should put you in the ballpark.
