how can i be non-judgmental?

why do i hate mexicans so much? im generally a nice person and not racist at all. but i still have this grudge against them. my school consists of 50-50 asians and mexicans. im asian. but why do i hate them? a lot of them are overweight, either too short or too tall, lazy, loud, attention seekers, fakes, DUMB, and only put their efforts into sports but we asians are as good as them. we have an organization called the NJHS. if you don't know what that is, it's basically for courteous and smart people. there are 16 members and im one of them. 15 are asian and 1 is mexican. there's nearly 500 people in my middle school and (like i said, it's half and half) there's 74 more mexicans than asians. yet, more asians are in the njhs. we also were given awards according to the subjects; all the receivers were asian. and mexicans make hollister and ae look fake. they would buy a jacket from those stores and wear it for months to make it seem like they shop there a lot. i want to be non-judgmental.

I don't care what bleeding hearts may say, EVERYONE has prejudices. Just keep them to yourself or the thought police will be there to take you away.

Well aren't you a judgemental so'n'so. I know there are people from a multitude of backgrounds that are the same as the way you described mexicans in your school. You think hard you can find those qualities in all people, not just mexicans. Hell, they do jobs in this country that no one else will do. Does not sound like lazy to me. What sucks is they get paid less than minimum wage. Your statement about ae & hollister is the reason why all schools should go to uniforms. Clothes don't make the person, the person makes the clothes. Think about it because it is true. Why don't you think about how to help someone instead of thinking how much better you are than someone? That way you can be a better contributor to society as opposed to being a judgemental so'n'so.

Approach them in a neutral fashion. If the first thing you think of when you see a Mexican is "OMG, Ew, Mexican, hatred..." then you will never be able to function the way you want. Your mind is clouded with what you EXPECT Mexicans to be and you have left no room for what they actually ARE.

Sure some Mexicans are bad. But so are some Asians. It's best to approach anyone you don't know neutrally and make your judgements later on.

Of course this is easier said than done but with practice I'm sure that you can handle it.

one did post that everybody judges, and yes everybody judges, including god. there are people that don't judge as much ( i could have cared less of the caps lock, heck the only reason i noticed it was because you said something about it) but there are things i do judge on like. religions saying gay is wrong when science points to it being a genetic thing that they have no control over. but for the most part people can be partial they just have to remember that it doesn't involve them, your caps lock where not of my choice nor my causing so why would i care that you used them.

My school has a large population of Mexicans. But whenever I think a bad thought about a Mexican I think to myself "hey, what did they do to me?".LOTS of the Mexicans at my school are: lazy, overweight, smelly, loud etc. But that doesnt mean I am predjudice and HATE them like you do. Asians tend to be selfish and think their better than everyone. What makes you better then them? you arent American, there not American. If you think "go back to mexico" well why dont YOU go back to Asia? so get off your high horse and think of them. You aren't white, they aren't white. Seriously. I try to think hey what if I what in their situation? there dads/moms probably work as hard if not harder at their jobs than our parents. I'm not saying out parents don't work hard, I'm just saying seriously think f the economy. Think if all Mexicans left. No one would want to pick the fruit in the fields, there wouldn't be any delivery men, chefs, waiters, drivers, teachers and more. don't say anything hurtful to themm, unless you want your *** whooped.

You should take heart that you are concerned enough to even ask.

If someone is trying to appear to be someone they aren't (guy with the coat) it is an indication that they aren't comfortable with themselves. Persons with these issues deserve understanding, maybe they think you are judging them because they can't afford such things? Are you?

I wonder if you would want others to make judgments about you based on your ethnicity?

Besides, high school sucks. It will end and life will get better.

To be non-judgemental you need to look beyond the group and see the person. There are always people who will stand out due to their negative behavior. You need to work at seeing the person that you are dealing with, not the group you catagorize them into. Not that it's easy - we all make judgements, we can't help it. We're human. But if you feel your judgements are negative, look for ways to see the positives.

I happen to like Mexicans. They are always friendly to me, while many Asians ignore that I exist. In fact Asians always seem to be self-absorbed in themselves and their own kind, while although Mexicans are close with each other, they are nice to everyone. Another thing, for someone so smart you sure do use terrible grammer.

Inspect yourself, then you'll know how to inspect them! Put it like this, you shouldn't hate them if their blood in their bodies are red, because so is yours.Hope it helps you.
