Financial crisis....what to do?

Question

I just went through 2 emergency surgeries in a month. I have been out of work for 2 months. My husband is working as much overtime as he can but he only gets paid for it a month after he works it. We are about to lose our home that we rent, our car, and many other things. I am going back to work this week part time but still have an abdominal wound that has to be cared for 3 days a week by home health. I can't work anymore than this right now because of the severity of my surgery. I have tried selling on e-bay for extra money but have had little luck. I wrote my family and asked them for help but they never responded back (they are wealthy). We have not had this kind of crisis before and we are really scared as to what it's going to do to us. Any helpful suggestions as to what we can do to not lose everything we have? We have 3 teens at home as well. Thanks.

It is a shame that we live in the riches country in the world and we can't look to our own government for help this is the same government that will come after you if you don't pay your tax's.They take our money but turn their back on us when we need help.They give millions away to different countries for god only knows what.This is for all you good hearted rich people out there who is reading this.Help this poor woman out it's a tax write off.Maybe you will sleep better if you help someone in need.

omg grl i have been there... my husband had three back surgeries and he has been out of work for over five yrs now. we came close to loosing our home and everything we had. i was working 16 hours a day and couldnt get help anywhere. i had a son who was about 3 months old. couldnt quilify for any assistance from the state i tried i was turned down said i made to much $. which i didnt... but u know what helped me... prayer i made it on prayer and the hope that things would get better.my son grew up on watered down milk and pinto beans.there were times i didnt want to live. but i knew there was a reason for it all.it took 5 yrs but it all turned better. i understand what u are going through i have been there. only thing i can say is hold tight to your family. stay close things will get better. churches are a good sorce of help... try it. it is just a test right now.. you will be ok but i do understand what u are going through God knows i have been in your shoes...

Get rid of everything that is not a necessity like Internet -sorry - its going to stink but the main things you need are food shelter and transportation make sure those things are taken care of look in your community for organizations that will provide you assistance for these things until you can get on your feet put every last cent of what income you have coming in on these things if you're children are old enough to work let them know what is going on and see if they can work to help until you are able to get on your feet again -good luck !

You could speak to the people who do debt counselling.They will take over the paying of your debts into more manageable amounts and call all those concerned such as your rent and car payments etc.
So very sad that your family will not help you out.Family are supposed to be there for you in time of trouble.Try calling them one more time and letting them know you are in a dire crisis right now.If nothing else..........do they not care about their grandchildren and what happens to them.

is there a freecycle group in your area? (just type in freecycle followed by the name of your town), it is an awesome resource when you're strapped, I just picked up a bag of canned goods yesterday... they offer all sorts of things, and you can put in wanteds for whatever you need, you may get things for free that way.
There is also your local health center, they usually have lots of information on food co-ops, (where groups buy in bulk from manufacturers and divvy up stuff), as well as help around the house or whatnot through helping hands type orgs.
How old are your kids? Can they get jobs to help out?
I sure wish I knew ways to help with rent, but I'm stumped on that one, I can only wish you good luck!

start getting rid of the things you can do without. internet first and other things next. look at what you can do without. kids can help out, that is what family is for. odd jobs for them, neighbors will let them do jobs for money. call your family one more time and beg. PRAY God will answer, this is a test he is putting you thru to turn to HIM. it will pass and so will you. i am sure you are praying, pray with your family. sell stuff that you would like to keep but can do without. call and talk to your creditors. i should have listed that first. communication in your situation is KEY. this could be your answer. sorry about your surgeries. your kids will be fine as long as you are with them. they can live somewhere else in not so fancy of a house as long as mom is there. call your creditors first thing in the morning and let them know your situation

Have you tried talking to your creditors & maybe refinancing some things & talk to your land lord about the rent he may be willing to let you catch it up later. Having a yard sale might help. But usually if you will talk to people they may be willing to help out if possible.A consolidation loan might work too.

you should not use as much electricity dont let the water run

and stuff like that

save up money and dont throw food out

u should sell some expensivee paintings from ur parents house if they let u

itll b ok

as long as u dont leave ur *** on the computer u should actually work a little and help ur children unless u wanna loose them

u can lose children u no if u become homeless
