Perhaps. Where are the rest of the details to complete your question? All I know is I drive a 2007 jetta and I LOVE it! Did i mention it's the cutest shade of red on the planet?

my sister had an ignition problem with her '95 Jetta, cant remember what it was though, we ended up taking it to a dealer cause of all the electrical BS that was going on.

I am assuming that the ignition coil is worn. Also, this may help: if the key is in and the door open it does not make the signature Volkswagen noise. But if you jam the key in really hard it does and as soon as you let go it dies out.

Most likely your ignition switch is worn out. These are normally dealer only items. Follow the procedures in the service manual, Haynes or Chilton's for replacement if you choose to do it yourself.

i too have an ignition problem with a Jetta. It won't ignite no matter how much gas i put on it.
