If he died on Friday and he arose on Sunday morning, that would be the 3 days recorded in scripture.

Religions and religious movies never depict what it was really like back then. There were no names for the days of the week back then. 99% of those biblical people were illiterate, let alone have desk calendars. Imagine a desk calendar made out of clay.
