Donald Driver is an EXCELLENT football player. I've had him on my fantasy team two years in a row and he's always delivered. I've watched clips of Deltha O'Neal preparing for Green Bay and the coaches singled out Driver as a very, very dangerous receiver that they needed to zero in on. He is strong, a hard worker, has good hands a good blocker and also a good team mate.
That being said, he is a very unlikely Hall of Famer. Art Monk, has won Superbowl rings along with gaining 940 career receptions for 12,792 yards and 68 touchdowns Yet Art Monk hasn't made it to the hall. If that's true, what chance does Driver have?
At the age of 32, Donald Driver is unfortunately in a situation where his best football is behind him. He is not likely to climb pass notable guys such as Tim Brown or James Lofton on the career receptions list. Given the state of the Packers now, it is unlikely he will make his case stronger by winning a Superbowl ring. As a result, he will just finish his career as a good player, not a great one.
Sorry, cheesehead.

He's not even close to being a hall of famer. He's a good receiver, but not a great one and definitely not a HOF one.
His numbers are quite a bit behind Rice's even after doing the math, so even if he can keep that pace for another 200 games he'd be short, but the question is 'can he keep the pace for 200 more game'? The answer is no.

No, he isn't close. Won't even getted voted in by the veterans committee. Comparing Driver to Rice is akin to comparing Michael Finley to Michael Jordan in basketball. To be a Hall-of-Famer, a player is usually considered one of the best at the league at their position over a number of years. Rice was the greatest receiver of all time in most facets of the game, if not one of the greatest players regardless of position. People game-planned to stop Rice for most of his career. While Driver receives attention, this is as much for the recent inept nature of the rest of the Packers offense in recent years.
Donald Driver is barely a pro bowler (2 pro bowls in 8 years). Except for 2002, he has never been considered one of the best receivers in the league. The only reason he was elected last year was an incredibly weak year for NFC wideouts.

Driver is 32 years old already.
He would have to do what he has done his entire career, 3 more times.
It would take perhaps the biggest miracle of all time.
421x4 = 1684 Catches
5929x4 = 23716 yrds
36x4 = 144 Tds
113x4 = 452 games
That's 339 more games.....not including playoffs, that's about another 21 Seasons and he'd have to have stellar numbers every year.
Driver is a very talented reciever, but he won't post career numbers for the HOF.

Donald Driver is a very good receiver, but i don't think he'll be a hall of famer. he was never a top receiver, but he has six consecutive 1,000 yards seasons. he never took it that extra distance, but who knows, this is probably his last year. if he posts over 1,300 yards and helps to lead the packers a super bowl win, he might be in there.

Take off the rose colored glasses. Why are you mentioning these two receivers in the same sentence? Oh by the way, Rice has four pieces of bling, and Driver has a view of Favre's one ring. If Monk is not a HOFer then Driver has no prayer.

i doubt it. reason being: he is a great wr. he puts up many stats because he's the only receiver reliable enough to catch at least half of favre's throws. he does bobble a lot of passes. think about when favre retires, the wr corp will probably be better at that point in time and the passes will be more balanced. thats my theory. otherwise driver would be the first wr who played with favre to make the pro bowl.....he is good enough to be a contender in the ballot, no doubt.

No, if you do the multiplication the numbers are close. The fact is without the multiplication the numbers are not great. Being a Packer fan i would love to see it, but he has a lot of work to do to be considered.

No and to assume that after Farve leaves that he's going to match these numbers is crazy. He's a solid reciever and a great talent. Nowhere close to a HOF level guy.
