Helio is part of Earthlink and another company called SK Telecom network and Verizon Wireless uses their own network of TDMA. There are no similarities between them and so you will not be able to use any Helio phones on Verizon Wireless.

Helio uses CDMA phones and leases time off Sprint Nextel. Verizon Wireless uses _CDMA_, and, in cases where there's no Sprint CDMA coverage, Helio users can roam into VZW space for voice-only service. So, technically, Helio phones can operate on VZW.

I haven't tried taking a phone purchased through Helio and try to activate it onto VZW, but I guess one can try.
