Christians have a cute little fish on their cars thats fine with or without a little cross for an eye. Science types get a little fish with feet kind of cute really. Neocons what do they do? They get a truth fish eating the little darwin fish. Several issues actually exist with this...
we know they are trying to say creationism consumes evolution but really why such a violent image? Their first thought is to kill the Darwin fish, not have a chat or invite him to sunday school and buy him a donut. Its pretty much you're a different fish so die.
I want a new scene for the neocons a little Islam fish getting a blade thru the heart by a Christian fish that has a little shield and a sword

I hope no one is thinking I have an issue with either the standard symbol for christianity or the darwin fish. My issue is with all the fanatics that have to go the next step. I think these are the same ones that advise nuking Iran, we are being overrun by Islam etc.

I think the larger issue is the fact that the Right Wing Christian Conservatives in this Country are trying to figuratively eat Darwinism and evolution. The symbol, whether it was the intention or not, is really a metaphor for what they are doing in real life. Trying to stop the teaching of evolution in schools, forcing intelligent design all these things show that regardless of science the conservative christian community wants to stop all people from learning anything that doesn't back what their bible says. They care nothing of the Separation of Church and State and only about forcing their religion on the rest of the world. The fact that they have their little fish eating the Darwin fish doesn't bother me. It's when they start telling everyone in their churches to vote for a measure to ban the teaching of evolution because it is against their religion when I start having a problem. We live in a Country where majority rules and they try to take advantage of that by forcing religion into our legistlator through the power of votes.

You are a very small minded individual to think a symbol of Islam killing Christianity is worth seeing. The image of one fish eating another is simply a way of saying that one trumps the other. It isn't nearly as violent an act as you describe.
Furthermore, do you think there are no democrat Christians with symbols on their cars? Are you saying only conservatives are Christians?
If you are, you are so far out of touch it makes sense that you have time to worry about fish on cars.

personally i think that it is a shame that people aren't more open minded about the whole subject. everyone has their own beliefs and that's fine.... till you try to impose them on me... i am agnostic, it means basically that i take the scientific approach to religion, there is no proof that god exists, yet there is no proof denying his existence. the reason i feel this way is because organized religions just want to say "creationism is what happened. god physically brought adam out of the ground" but the scientists tend to take the evolution side of things. my problem is that they both are so set in their ways as to how thigs happened yet reallt... no one knows for sure.. were any of them there? got pics? vid? NO.. we ridicule the romans religion by calling their gods and stories "mythology" how can we be sure that the same wont happen with today's religions. isn't it possible that the bible is a collection of stories that were created in order to help people through life? on the other hand, where is the missing link from apes to man? why cant it be found? this is why i chose to keep an open mind. NO ONE has the answers yet they all tell you that they are sure this is how it happened. What about the possibilty that both creationism and evolution are both right? God is supposed to be all knowing and all forseeing right? isn't it possible that he would have had enough forsight that if he created an infinate number of molecules, they would form a large mass that would eventually implode upon itself, (big bang), from that explosion, galaxies were made with billions of stars in them and in one of the galaxies, our solar system was formed, and earth happened to have the right conditions for life. life then formed from protein strains, and evolved into what we see today? why does it have to be either creationism or evolution? can't it be both? or even neither? blind faith seems illogical to me...

I just don't see what the big deal is. I don't really care what someone puts on the back of their car. I don't like it when I see foul language on a bumpersticker, but I don't get bent out of shape about it.
And to FiveFoot, the fish symbol comes form the Bible when Jesus told Peter "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Meaning he would use Peter and people like him to spread Christianity. This became a symbol of the early church. When a christian entered a city, and saw a fish symbol, he knew that it would lead him to a church or group of believers.
And Darwin later admitted he was wrong, and that he believed in God, but that is something evolutionists don't like to talk about.

If its not on your car then shut the **** up about it.....I'd much rather see a sticker on the outside of someones car than see a bomb on the inside of it.
And since when were all "neocons" christians...or vice versa....
I'm so sick of all the broad generalizations you idiots come up with for everything.

people are hungry ?? LOL I am kidding but I sure liked your last idea..but its the islamist that use the swords/knives to decapitate heads, hands , feet, etc....
I see them, but, it just dont matter to me. I think the fish is representative of the Christ feeding the people with fish, but he gave them bread also, and thats not there ??
Could be that he said he would make them "fishers of men"

I think the people that put the Christian fish on their cars are doing it for themselves and not for God and are probably the same people that only give if recognized.
