continental drift the continets r floating on hot magma which pushes them apart or together the first continent was called pangia by the way

The theory you're looking for is Plate Tectonic theory.
From the answers above, Pangaea was NOT 'the first continent', it was just the last single supercontinent. There has been repeated breakups/continental amalgamation throughout geologic time, aka The Wilson Cycle.

The single land mass was called Pangea. This land mass has split into the various continents. Have a look at the illustrations and explanations here. Very interesting.

the arch continent was called pangea. the effect itself is called continental drift. the main proves for this theory is shape of africa and southern america:)

pandora is the one island that the earth actually had at the beggining before plate tectonics movement. the divergence and convergence is the cause of the separation of the land.

its called continental drift...which is an effect of plate tectonics. if you look up platetectonics in any geology/science website, you will learn plenty
