does everything rely on it's opposite to be true? does god need the devil? does black need white? light need dark?

i think this though, truth does not need untruth to be truth.
two and two equals four, independent of the fact that someone may think it equals five.

We live in a 'dual' universe - a universe of dualities. Nothing exists in this physical plane without a positive and a negative. So, yes "good" can only be judged by comparing it to "bad" (evil).

Einstein may have said it best. He noted that there is no evil, per se, in the universe but only the absence of God (God representing 'good'). He compared this to dark being the absence of light and cold being the absence of heat.

If everything was good, then you wouldn't have the concept called "good." You wouldn't need it.
