Of course not!!

But if the Iraqis fight back after 4 years of an endless occupation republicans call them "terrorists" because they won't kneel to their conquerers.

If we were happy with our elected government and fought back, no we wouldn't be the terrorists but if the Canadians snuk in and started bombing churches and malls to get the invaders out so that they could take over, they would be insurgents and terrorists.
BTW, the nation of Afghanistan did not attacks the USA either. The USA was attacked by Islamic Fundamentalists that had their "HQ" in the Afghan mountains but they have been getting assistance from all over the Middle East since the 1960's. Islamic nations are not nationalistic in the same way that westerners are. They are Moslem's first. To defeat them we also have to deal with hose that are most likely to assist them for one reason or the other.

Ahhh...the old "terrorist vs. freedom fighter" argument...So popular among those with no moral grounding.

If we started beheading hostages and shooting women in the head and blowing up markets and....oh, why bother. When did facts ever win out over ideology?

Let's just say you're right and all things are truly equal. The elected government is supported by the U.S. The insurgency is supported by Iran. The U.S. supports a secular, representative state. The insurgency wants an Iranian-style shadow government of Ayatollahs. The U.S. wants Iraqi oil. Iran wants Iraqi oil.

All things being equal, who are you to say who is the real invader?

No country will ever quietly acquiesce to being invaded or conquered and we are no exception. As for Iraq and Afghanistan, at some point we have to leave, hopefully on a good note with a victory. But it is becoming more difficult under the current Administration.

You obviously haven't looked at the definition of Terrorist in the dictionary.
OK here's the simple form
Terrorist= Target anyone including innocent civilians
Freedom Fighter= Target military targets not civilians
Terrorist= Kill everyone they capture
Freedom Fighter= Will take prisoners, and hold them till an truce is reached.

Get it, terrorist target children, women, and innocent people. Freedom fighters go after government or military targets.

US invaded Iraq pretending that they have relations with AlQaeda and having weapons of mass destruction. Now it's clear that nothing of that was correct. The situation now is too complicated, so many groups and governments are there and no body is ready to leave that country. The situation will be as it is now ( killing & killing) until a huge regional war starts. Only by the end of this war, things will cool down.

We wouldn't suicide bomb innocent civilians w/ no military target in sight, we don't use chlorine gas on civilians, we represent freedom loving people world wide, not an ideology that enslaves women, we build hospitals, housing, temple/churches. We are helping them, try reading some else besides the liberal news, and get some actual facts.
