as I said, fish is swollen on one side and that side faces up so that the fish swims on his side. he has been this way for 8 days. it is a very large oscar, approx. 10 inches.

Swollen on one side only is usually a sign of a tumor I'm sorry to say. There are other possibilities, but the fact that it has been going on for 8 days and the fish is still alive rules out lots of potential causes, such as a burst air bladder or constipation.

Your fish has a tumor most likeley. If it realloy is one it should grow bigger over time. But if not it's probably something else.I'm afraid that there is nothing you can do about a tumor, though. Sorry.


BY the way gary, don't be jealous andthat is so unsympathetic, trying to sell her a new fish. Sheesh

DAM IT MAGICMAN EVERYTIME I FIND A QUESTION I CAN ANSWER YOU GET HERE BEFORE ME anyway like the show off said its probably a tumor, you can try giving it anti-bacterial medication to see if it helps. Or you can toss it and ill sell you a 10 inch flower horn for 55 bucks

maybe it's an air bubble or something caught inside his gills.
