Well if it bothers me, then I would feel strongly toward the issue. In which case, I would gather as much information as I could and either change my opinion based on the facts and roll with the flow. Or, become more convinced of my opinion and challenge those who think they are right.
Concerning government, I encourage and strongly recommend writing your Senator and/or Representative to persuade their votes on the issues.

I totally agree with you..... It's good to stand for one's own principles.and beliefs. That's why I got the label of a REBEL w/o a CAUSE.
I tell them how I feel on the subject matter. If it involves a topic I'm not sure of; I'll research to death so my argumentation is substantiated or corrobated by evidence.. I do want my statements supported by facts.
Sometimes, I ask if they want to bet that I'm right. Very few take me up on it. This is not a sign of arrogance at all. It's just because of my strong convictions.! When i'm proven wrong, which is is not too often. I do apologize.
If my discussions won't be accepted by the other party; then that would be their problem, not mine ! !. Because I know, the last laugh will be mine. And I'm able to say, I told you so.
At least I got it off my chest; because I hate to harbor ill feelings or bear grudges. I go off on a tirade that very instant. Let the steam off; so to speak. After the storm, then I become calm. I forget about it. Thereafter I'm back to my old self.
I hate bringing up old issues. I hate to nag or sound off like a broken record. . But most of all, if I have nothing good or christian to say about somebody; I bite my tongue and move on. I hate gossiping as this is my greatest pet peeve of all.
It's so much easier being a positive being a positive person rather being asinine and sarcastic. I hate character assassinations. Because, I'm no better than my neighbor.
Politics and religion are two very controversial issues. And not too many people agree on those. However, my greatest friend and lover and I agreed and put to practice the concept "to agree to disagree." It seems to work fairly good.for a healthy relationship.! We respect each other's opinions and rights to a freedom of expression. After all, we are two separate individuals with distinctive and unique entities. However, we completely agree though; to question the relevancy and wisdom of the evils of wars.!!!
These are my sincere thoughts on this subject matter. Mind you, these are only opinions; so pls take it w/ a grain of salt.

I question the authority all the time...It gets me in trouble sometimes too. I have even made people cry, durring a campaign at school, just asking them questions, and backing up my information, so I was no longer aloud to take part in anymore "political" activities. I also seem to have built up a reputation, of being mean, but I'm not, I just want to know, or get the facts straight...

yes, sometimes i am right , sometimes i am wrong. It is a great learning device. I have a person at the newspaper who will talk with me. A librarian, and the girl on the non emergency line who will help me with question. Keep it up, its fun and you do get a lot of smarts

I dig up facts to make sure I'm right but if I'm not right then I'll just keep my opinion. I'm not so sure about the government though.

That's part of the beauty of our country. We are able to express our opinions. Now, as far as arguing over a traffic issue with a cop, such as a speeding ticket, I just don't do it, because I'd rather pay a ticket, than have to appear in court.

If I've got a problem I talk straight to the person causing the problem unless it's not that easy, I just let it go.
