For the record I think Bush's performance has been abysmal since day one. For those of you who still back this lunatic ........ I'm sorry folks you've had. George Bush doesn't love you.

Jacob W - Clinton wasn't perfect by any means but he did create the largest budget surplus in US history($230 billion) Which Bush promptly destroyed

Also, for those of you who claim there hasn't been another terrorist attack on US soil...hardly impressive since 41 out of 43 presisdents had NO attacks under their watch.

You really have to get away from that whole opinion poll bit. Here is an example o why. If people want to stay the course in Iraq they vote favorably for the president. If people want to quit and run home, they poll unfavorably for the president seems straight forward enough. But if people want to escalate the war and win decisively, they too poll unfavorably for the president.

So it is folly to consider the people who want to surrender and those who want to escalate as wanting the same thing even if both find the president's current policies unfavorable. You will find, my young friends, that a president can either lead or listen to polls. If you are ever elected president I hope you get all the input you can and do what you are convinced is in the best interest of America. Not listen to polls.

If you remember, the elder President Bush had an approval rating of nearly 90% during the gulf war but lost the election to Clinton. Clinton was always following polls but never would have gotten elected had Perot not been in the mix. Clinton never got above 46% of the vote. And I defy anyone to provide a list of major accomplishments of Clinton. There were none because he always did what was popular, not what was correct.

I showed this chart to my stockbroker and he advised me that Bush was in a long term down trend and was being sold by the big institutional investers.

Gee, things aren't that bad in the U.S. My life is pretty good
and I bet yours are too. The troops approve of Pres. Bush
so I don't know why you who aren't fighting in Iraq have so
much "hate". A Nation divided will surely fall and thats what
liberals are trying to do to US. We need to appreciate the
good that Pres. Bush has done for US, and vote for someone
you like in the next election (thats the American way). We have
the best ever economy, low taxes, low unemployment, no
terrorist attacks since Bush created the Patriot Act, and thanks to you libs, we now have Nancy Pelosi with her
illegal diplomacy undermining American foreign policy.

Bad approval ratings makes people more money. I bet Bush has stocks in all these newspapers you read.

The job of the President is not to be popular. If it were, Bush could just stain an intern's dress with his seed. That's how Clinton got his numbers up, and his member.

Isn't it sad. I understand people drawn to the Republican dogma of self-reliance and small government, but when your Republican leaders fail miserably on all fronts, it's time to call a dog a dog.
