I get depressed pretty easily and since I have been exercising 3-4 times per week and doing yoga, I have felt sooo much better!!! It is good because it releases a hormone called endorfins and also gives u something to focus on. That is the best thing you can do.
Yoga is good for the mind, body and spirit!! I was a total skeptic but WOW it truly works...if you give it a chance at least a few times. If you can't go to a gym, buy a yoga tape and also a total body fitness tape. Start going for bike rides or long walks. Give it 2 weeks and prob even sooner than that you will feel noticeably better!
If you choose not to exercise, then I reccommend taking on some sort of weekly commitment, like joining a sports team or a book club, theater group, community service group. It will give you something to focus on beyond your problems and will keep you around people...but exercising will give you the best depression fighting results! Good Luck and hang in there...you will beat this!

a puppy. my dogs always make me feel better. Even when the world is getting me down, they are never mad at me and always just wanna lick my face and play. studies show petting a soft puppy or kitten helps relieve stress, sort of like stressballs. If you can't commit to a dog now maybe so go your local shelter and volunteer to walk dogs and play with puppies, they always need more volunteers. Of course some prescription pills may help.

Well, try being a little more active, go out with your friends or something, if your depression is causing you to be tired all the time, the less you focus on it, the more energetic you'll be.

Try to drink more water to regulate the removal of toxins from your system, as well as exercising at least four times a week for 30 minutes at a time. This will help to regulate your body's metabolic activity and will contribute to a greater sense of mood shifts...feel better my dear. :)

it is normal cause i am depressed every year for 2 years now and i am only 14, t slowly goes away after a few weeks, go outside have fun, watever, i know its the worst thing. get well honey!

i know where your at. i've been there. you need to get out of your house and go do something with somebody you love to be with. somebody that makes you laugh. laughter is always healing. you may want to go and get some medical help if you get more depressed or if it does not go away.
