I wash my face at least twice a day (more if work out or do some dirty house work). Once when i wake up and at night. My friend says if i wash my face more than that, than its too much. I just can not stand not washing my face if i do dirty work. Is washing your face three times a day too much?

Depends on how hard you are scrubbing or what products you are using. Just like over washing your hands, your face can get dry, raw or irritated. If your constantly removing the natural oils, your face could get a little red and dry. Washing with water and a little bit of soap (nothing harsh) isn't bad but if you are scrubbing away with an abrasive material and using tons of products (especially any anti-acne ones) your skin can get a little sensitive. I know when I seriously wash my face more than twice a day, it starts to get a little red and sore but I use those 'scrubby glove' things to exfoliate.

There's no disease that can be caused by cleaning your face. It may be a bit obsessive, but if it works for you then fine. Espeically if you do a job that gets your really dirty, as long as you realize it's going to get dirty again.

not if your useing a moistureizer - and make sure your face wash doesnt include exfoliating beads that may over exfoliate your skin -

basicly if you use the right products youll be fine - the oil of olay i use says to wash face two to three times daily -

Only if you start feeling you skin gettin tight and dried out or flaky. It's good to want to keep clean, just don't go over board, your face won't thank you for that in the future.

It isn't too much if you are using an after cleanser moisturizer.
